This site has clearly been taken over by extremist fangurls of Hillary Rodham Clinton.  If I wanted to go to Hillary's campaign site, I would.  

The really embarrassing part of it for the Hillbots here is that this is perhaps the only site on the liberal blogosphere that would susceptible to this takeover because they can overwhelm the numbers here.  On dailykos they are a minority voice - a loud, vocal, and annoying voice - but a small, inconsequential voice nonetheless.

There are several reasons I am flipping, as of now, to supporting Hillary Clinton from John Edwards:  

1.  The first, and most prevalent reason is the shots that John Edwards and Elizabeth Edwards have been taking at Hillary Rodham Clinton.

2.  The second reason, and I've been thinking about this since the LOGO debate, is I  believe that Hillary simply likes gay people.  Period.  And, thus, I have a lot of confidence that she would do the most of any of the top-tier candidates to help us.

3.  The final reason - and, yes, this is kind of petty and relates, to a lesser extent to reason number one - is all the vitriol this woman receives here and on all the rest of the liberal blogs.  I'm fucking tired of it.  And, I am sorry, but a lot of it is tinged with misogyny.

Seeing Hillary's ad today pissed me off.  On its face, the ad was very effective.  It struck the right chord and pushed all the right buttons and had the perfect tone for a just-out-of-the-gate ad.  Her voice was great and she looked wonderful in it.  Overall, an A+ ad...until.  Until you consider, which I later did, that it had NO diversity in it.  I liked the ad all day long and then watched it again and then it hit me.  The ad made the world in which Hillary campaigns look like no black, no Asian, nor Hispanic people live there.  Here we are in the year 2007 and we have the frontrunning candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination run her very very first ad and paid absolutely ZERO attention to diversity.  How ironic that the campaign named this ad, "Invisibles", because, as a Hispanic, I feel like I'm invisible in Hillary's world.

This is my first diary.  And, since I have seen YouTube ads for Edwards and Obama prominently featured here on the front page, in the name of equal time, I thought I'd diary about how effective (or not) Hillary Rodham Clinton's first ad.  What do you think of the ad?
